We are dedicated to enhancing the mental well-being of individuals living with rare diseases and their families. We aim to provide accessible, specialized mental health support that acknowledges the unique challenges faced by rare disease communities. Through advocacy, research, education, and collaboration, we strive to foster compassionate, informed programs that empower patients and their families to thrive emotionally and psychologically.
Our research-based Rare Therapist program is designed to develop disease-specific continuing education courses for mental health professionals. This collaborative program provides a blueprint for Mental Health for Rare partners to establish research-backed curriculums that guide mental health professionals to be more effective when working with people diagnosed with life-altering rare diseases.
We are actively seeking to partner with rare disease patient-focused organizations, advocates, activists, and institutions that seek to address mental health within rare disease communities. We are also seeking to connect disease-specific programs with dedicated sponsors.
